To deliver this, the business required accurate baseline data so that it could measure its progress against targets and commitments.
Walmart also needed to achieve compliance across multiple states.
Firstly, our sustainable packaging consultants scoped Walmart’s business targets, sustainability commitments and legislative requirements to help create a roadmap for the path ahead.
Next, we utilized our flexible technology platform e-halo to facilitate control and increase transparency of all packaging specifications.

We provided Walmart with instant data capture, seamless connectivity and legislative compliance by state.
We also flagged ‘at risk/banned’ materials. Walmart also enjoys bespoke reporting at the touch of a button, with instant recyclability via a customized packaging dashboard and carbon capture.
e-halo is a key program to support our voluntary goals of reducing one gigaton of CO2 emissions from global value chains by 2030 and address our packaging priorities for 2025.
