Walmart wanted to measure its packaging sustainability progress against targets and commitments.
Client: Walmart.
Technology
Walmart needed to capture accurate and granular packaging data from thousands of global suppliers for its Food, Consumables and Health & Wellness portfolios.
Alongside this bigger picture, Walmart needed to validate their supplier data.
Combining our e-halo platform with expertise from Aura’s Supplier Success Management and Data Assurance teams, we devised a program for Walmart’s requirements.
Firstly, we configured e-halo in line with Walmart reporting requirements and packaging processes to capture the granular packaging data from thousands of suppliers.
Aura’s Supplier Success team worked closely with Walmart’s suppliers to facilitate data capture across all products. This involved onboarding, training and coaching suppliers so that they could utilize our e-halo platform and populate it with the required information.
Our Data Assurance service validated each supplier’s inputs based on Walmart’s requirements, to ensure the details were correct and compliant.
As a result, Aura was able to provide Walmart with:
- Live, accurate packaging data for Walmart’s Food, Consumables and Health & Wellness portfolios, all captured and validated within e-halo.
- Data assurance for Walmart on all packaging specifications.
- A comprehensive database of all packaging specifications, ‘at risk’ attributes, measurements and weights.
Managing every supplier to submit granular, accurate packaging data for thousands of Walmart private brand products.
The e-halo program has positioned Walmart to proactively manage existing and future legislative and compliance requirements across our entire Private Brands portfolio.
