Twinings came to Aura requesting a full review of its packaging development process from innovation and ideation through to manufacturing implementation.
In doing so, the business wished to evaluate end-to-end efficiency, effectiveness and accountability including a defined RACI of all stakeholders in the packaging development process.
It also wanted to drive packaging innovation and evolution across all areas and close the gap between ideation and production implementation.
Our experienced consultants produced in-depth recommendations for an improved packaging development process:
- Aura’s consultants were able to get under the skin of the business and identify capability gaps across all departments and recommend structural changes to close the gap between ideation and production.
- A full competitor analysis was conducted including industry best practice for end-to-end packaging development.
- This activity included role mapping with a full RACI for all business areas of Twinings that are responsible and accountable for the packaging development process.
- Recommendations included organizational structural changes, trainings requirements and Aura proposed systems improvements with three recommended platforms to meet their global business requirements.
Twinings implemented a more streamlined process with clear accountability lines, underpinned by a technology system to meet their current and future needs.
Twinings re-aligned and invested in its people to strengthen their knowledge, closing the gap between concept generation and manufacturing. In addition, the business onboarded the latest technology to ensure it was fit for the future.
